Mr. & Mrs. William Henry |
The house of Mr. Wm. Henry Harrison was entirely destroyed by fire. Only a portion of his goods saved. Loss nearly $400. He is a young man and just started in life. He used his woodshed to shave shingled in; cook stove stood on a platform which projected into woodshed. Mrs. H. Went out to feed hogs, leaving her two children in the house. It is supposed the boy pulled some of the coals out of the stove onto the shavings. Boy nowhere to be found during the fire. Ashes were gone over from his remains, but no traces could be found. About dark he came out of the cornfield where he had run to and remained in his fright; and where he, no doubt, gave vent to his sorrow for having been the cause of so much mischief. (2 children are Fred & Harland Harrison) |
