The Republican of Harrison met today and organized for earnest, hearty work in support of Republican principles and cooperation with the county organization in the approaching canvas.

 

            Officers Chosen: President, L. S. Robertson; Vice-President, one in each school subdivision, Henry Statham, Joseph Simmons, George Gilbert, William Fox, H. Harrison, S. K. Stevens, Daniel hunter, Ezekiel Rooks, R. V. Hayes, and Henry Wood.

Secretary, A. A. Swetland

Treasurer, Martin Dodge

 

            The following were chosen as committees, two in each school sub district, to act in conjunction with the Vice-Presidents: James Dodge, H. Dallaby, T. F. Holcomb, Ben C. Erway, George Smith, S. C. Lewis, Lewis White, John White, James Haynes, James Predmore, J. L. Smith, John Rooks, O. W. Olney, Henry Hurlburt, H. Brundage, M. R. Swetland, D. P. Burley, M. W. Swetland, Peter Dennis, and George Whitman.

 

            All Republican friends are expected to share in the glorious work of promulgating truth.  Adjourned till April 11, 1868.
