Evening service commenced at White’s Corners. School house Jan. 1st Elder Warren announced he has a large congregation the first evening, but not so many on following evenings. Strange that a tambourine will attract more that a sound sermon. The lively and stirring tunes sung, perhaps, contribute more than any thing else. |

Revival meetings at White’s Corners school house by Elder Warren, assisted by two or three new converts from H. V. closed Mon. eve. Most of our young people here have been converted and several middle aged persons, who never before seemed personally concerned about religion, have started to lead new lives. Neighbors who had been at variance mutually asked forgiveness and are clasping hands. |

We think White’s Corners is destined to see better times both spiritually and socially. The donation held at J. S. Haynes’ for Rev. Warren, more than paid the pastor’s claims at this place. |
