NELSON FAMILY BIBLE

These dates were taken from an old Bible from the Lonzo and Mary Nelson property at Nelson Run.  Lonzo’s wife was Mary Logue, daughter of Harrison Logue of near Driftwood, PA., and his wife Elizabeth Nelson, dau of John and _____ Hoffer Nelson of Milton, PA.  The names, ages, births and marriages were transferred from the old Bible by J. L. Nelson, 1860.

LaGrande Servineius Wykoff, b Nov 18 1870 at First Fork, PA; mar. Jan 12 1900, to Nellie Moore of Kettle Creek.  They had 2 sons, Lynn Wykoff of Costello and Glenn Sykoff of First Fork.  LeGrande Wykoff died Apr 2 1955.

The Wykoff family moved into Cameron Co., PA, from New Jersey in the 1800’s.
 
Amanda Bomgardner was a niece and also adopted daughter of Charles I. Wykoff.  She was b in 1856

Oct 8 1847 – the water was 9 ft. higher than it was ever known

Sep 28 1861 – flood 3’ 3” high

Mar 1 1865 – flood was very high
